Even since we learned that The World Ends with You characters would be appearing in Kingdom Hearts 3D, rumors have been swirling that a sequel to the sleeper DS hit is just around the corner. We still don’t have any confirmation, but in a recent issue of Japan’s Nintendo Dream magazine, Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura was quite brazen with his choice of words regarding the future of the series.

Speaking of the character Rhyme’s cameo in Kingdom Hearts 3D, Nomura said that she lacked any lines in TWEWY but will have a proper voices role in KH3D “out of consideration of the future of The World Ends with You series.” Later on, he says, “Regarding The World Ends with You, I can’t say anything at present… (laughs). But there probably is something.”

That sounds pretty solid to me, doesn’t it? Which reminds me, I never actually finished the original game. Lemme go do that.
