While we found out that the latest Valkyrie Profile title, Covenant of the Plume, would be coming to US shores earlier this month, we were still left hanging about its future in Europe — there had been no official announcement. Today tactical RPG fans can breathe a sigh of relief, because Square-Enix has confirmed that the title will be coming to Europe and other PAL territories in Spring of 2009 for the Nintendo DS.
I have to be honest — while I have several Valkyrie Profile games, I have actually never played any of them yet, due to the too many games problem that pretty much all of us are currently suffering from. Anyone a big fan of them, and if so which is your favorite?

Story
The protagonist is a young soldier, Wylfred, who harbours a hatred for the Valkyries, especially Lenneth Valkyrie, who used his father as an Einharjar when he was ten years old. To seek revenge against the gods, he accepted power from Hel, the Queen of Niflheim, in the form of a black magic feather. In Midgard, however, the two princes of the Kingdom of Artolia are enthralled in a battle for succession to the throne, with neighboring nations Villnore and Crell Monferaigne monitoring the situation, ready to strike at a moment’s notice.Features
