Eurogamer Expo 2010 dates announced

After a triumphant return from PAX last September, Destructoid’s UK community group was formed and Eurogamer Expo 2009 was our very first meet. Naturally, I was thrilled to find that Eurogamer Expo 2010 has just been announced and will be taking place at Earls Court, London from October 1 to 3.

The Expo last year was a fantastic event that boasted brilliant attendance and gave the average gamer a chance to get hands-on with big titles, such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassins Creed 2, without the three hour ques we saw at PAX. Eurogamer also lacked hordes of annoying 14-year-old cosplayers with “free hug” signs, which is always a bonus in my book.

David Lilley, Event Director for Eurogamer, promises more of the same with the expo being in perfect time for the Q4 releases, a big push for indie gaming as well as seeing the return of GamesIndustry.biz’s Career Fair. Eurogamer is keeping some cards close to their chests saying that a “series of new areas and events will be announced over the coming months.”

DtoidUK will be planning a meet to coincide with the event, so keep your eyes on the blogs!
