[Update: Elite: Dangerous is a timed console exclusive on Xbox One but will be eventually come to PlayStation 4, according to Frontier Developments founder David Braben.]

During a talk at the Game Developers Conference, head of Xbox Phil Spencer announced that PC space sim Elite: Dangerous will make its console debut this summer on Xbox One.

Frontier Developments says that “all content added to the PC version by February’s Community Goals content update and March’s Wings content update” will make it into the console port.

I’ve stayed away from Elite: Dangerous (and Star Citizen, for that matter) and will continue to do so until they’re further along in development. Xbox One, though? Wonder how Elite will translate.
