Ed Boon shuts down possibility of Mortal Kombat Wii U Virtual Console releases

‘0.0% chance’

Were you holding out for a Mortal Kombat Wii U Virtual Console release? I hope not, because series creator Ed Boon recently took to Twitter to set the record straight. According to a response to a fan, Boon notes that there’s a “0.0%” chance of releasing Mortal Kombat 1-3 on the Virtual Console by way of their SNES iterations.

There isn’t much more to go on in terms of his reasoning, but at least we know where he stands on the issue. It’s a shame, because Mortal Kombat 2 is my personal favorite, and I’d love to give it a go on the GamePad.
