Ed Boon reveals rig used to animate Goro in original MK

Ed Boon is making quite the splash on Twitter. Two days ago the Midway Games head honcho and brain behind the Mortal Kombat series confirmed the next Mortal Kombat wouldn’t carry a girlie rating. Earlier yesterday, the man shared the below gallery image with all his followers. It’s Goro. A tiny Goro, that is.

As our friends at Giant Bomb and Ed Boon note, this is the stop-motion rig that Midway used to make Goro spring to life in the original Mortal Kombat.  It’s cute and frankly, it freaks us out. Games used to be made this way, man. Talk about a time warp.
