EA teases bringing back SSX

During my time here, there has always been one game that seems to be met with universal praise whenever it gets mentioned, and it’s a game you might not immediately think of: SSX Tricky. When the conversation turns to that of snowboarding videogames, everyone always gushes their love for Tricky (and also SSX 3).

Talking to gamesindustry.biz, EA Montreal general manger Alain Tascan utters the words we’ve been waiting for: “Ah, SSX. We have a big catalog and we were talking about what people like. I think this is something we will look at in the future to see if it makes sense to revive the franchise.”

“It’s a little bit early to talk about it, but I feel … I know internally it is a franchise that people love because it was successful and good, and it reminds me of when we were young, and I feel if the market is there and is ready for a new one then we’ll consider it,” Tascan continues.

Please, for the love of all things holy, EA, if you aren’t going to release a new SSX title, at least bring a high-def, online SSX Tricky to PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade. Do it for the dying orphans, alright?
