EA Sports College Football 25 will reportedly feature current players on the cover

Plenty of exciting options to choose from.

From former Alabama head coach Nick Saban to previous Heisman winners, college football fans have made many predictions about who will be on the EA Sports College Football 25 cover. After months of speculation, a leak may help narrow down the field of potential candidates.

College football reporter Matt Brown reports that the EA Sports College Football 25 will have multiple cover athletes for different title editions, featuring current players across multiple power conferences. Additionally, Brown claimed that all athletes play different positions, meaning there would only be one quarterback, running back, and more. Based on that set of criteria, there are a few noteworthy college athletes that check every box.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Colorado quarterback Shadeur Sanders, Colorado receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter, and Georgia quarterback Carson Beck will be at the top of most college football fan wishlists. However, potentially only having one QB would make that list of top candidates much smaller.

This would also rule out all players who officially got drafted into the NFL over the weekend. Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, Marvin Harrison Jr, and Malik Nabers could have been phenomenal candidates after shining on the field last season, but they have reportedly missed their window.

As for when players can finally get their hands on the highly anticipated sports sim title, leaks point toward a July 19 release date, with more information to come earlier in the summer.
