Imagine it now: You’re in a fighter jet playing Battlefield 4 and getting shot up. You have to bail out but see this as your chance to do that one jet trick, succeed, and proceed on with the battle with your newly acquired jet. Now imagine that scene as you have the Oculus Rift strapped to your face.

How cool would that be? Well Electronic Arts thinks it would be cool, and they’re looking into getting all future Frostbite engine based games working with the virtual reality headset. MTBS3D forum’s found out EA was looking into the Rift, and since then EA’s Frank Vitz, head of the Frostbite creative team at DICE, confirmed that they’re looking into it.

“I am really eager to see how the Oculus Rift works with Frostbite,” stated Frank. “There are multiple titles in the works that would be awesome with the Rift. Of course it will be the responsibility of each game team to ensure that their game works in S3D and with the Rift if it proves to be viable.”

No promises, but we at least now know that EA is considering Oculus Rift support.
