EA hasn’t ruled out Star Wars Battlefront 2 on Switch

Even if it isn’t likely

While EA basically treated the Switch like chopped liver since it was announced, merely porting a cut-up version of FIFA 18, now comes the point where they play coy in an attempt to slowly get on the bandwagon.

Speaking to GameSpot, producer David Robillard noted that there could be a Switch version “if [they] see opportunities,” explaining, “This is something we’ll explore if we see opportunities there, but it is not something that’s on the books right now.” It’s non-committal PR, sure, but it’s a little less definitive than a lot of other publishers who flat-out eliminate the option altogether.

There was a point where a major AAA game was coming out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and consumers and developers alike would laugh at the idea of a Wii U edition. But those days are gone it seems, as Doom is coming to the system soon enough among other ports (Many would say Skyrim, but given that it came out in 2011 I’m not so sure it should be heralded as the champion of third party Nintendo support).
