EA divulges Dead Space’s composer, when you’ll be able to buy the soundtrack

You can’t have a genuinely scary videogame without a tension-building soundtrack to set the mood. It’d be like watching a horror flick in broad daylight with a group of friends — it just doesn’t have the same effect as sitting alone in total darkness does.

If you like being scared sh*tless as much as I do, then you’ll be glad to hear that EA is not skimping on the soundtrack for Dead Space.

Jason Graves was recruited to handle the task of creating an original score for the game, and judging by these samples on his Web site, he’s done a killer job. Additionally, the OST will be up for purchase on October 14 right here.

Dead Space will be out on October 14 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3; the PC version will be released a week later. Who else is looking forward to it?
