Electronic Arts has confirmed that a new Dead Space is in the works, following months of rumors concerning Dead Space 3. The publisher told Game Informer that it will have more details during E3. All we know for sure is that we’ll see it some time over the next year, between now and March 31 or 2013.
There are many rumored details concerning Dead Space 3. Speculation suggests it will be set on an ice planet called Tau Volantis, with Isaac undertaking a rescue mission while on the run from authorities. A new character, Shadow Isaac, will act as the protagonist’s mocking split personality. Y’know, because he’s crazy.
In any case, Dead Space is easily among my top franchises of recent years, so I can’t wait to find out more.
