Destructoid was very lucky to catch a rare glimpse of one of gaming’s most iconic videogame characters, Mario himself. He was also joined by some weird blue rat thing who nobody’s ever heard of. They wandered past as we waited for a meeting with Sega and, as you can see from our damning footage, they truly did “kiss and make up” after the notorious Nintendo/Sega war of the nineties.
I guess this is the only way Sonic can get into a decent videogame alongside a character who still has some dignity, right?
