Madfinger Games’ Shadowgun (that’s gun, not run) looks mighty fine, especially when you consider that the Unity powered game is meant to run on tablets and smartphones. Shadowgun should run at 30 frames per second on an iPad, 60 fps on an iPad 2, and it will also run on an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and Android devices that have a NVIDIA Tegra chip.

It looks stunning, and Unity might give Unreal a run for its money as a cheap alternative for mobile gaming. Let them fight it out, I say, and give us more of these amazing looking games for mobile devices in the process. As long as these games don’t drain our batteries by 50% after 10 minutes of play, that is.
