E3 2007: Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am video … Christ almighty

Trust the Aqua Teen Hunger Force crew to give us a game with a title so convoluted and long-winded, it would make the Shin Megami Tensei series think twice. Here it is then (deep breath), Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am, a weird hybrid of golf, racing and action that sees the popular Adult Swim sentient foodstuffs enter a golf tournament and cause their usual abstract chaos. Richard Hicks, executive producer from the game’s developer, Midway, sheds a little light one of the few videogame tie-ins to a TV series I might actually play.

The cel-shading is, admittedly, bog standard at best, but hopefully the game retains enough wit and charm from the TV show to make up for it. Mooninites are confirmed, at least, so that’s already a huge plus point in my eyes. Throw in Handbanana and I’m sold. That said, I’ll remain apprehensive at this current juncture. While the giant crossbreeding of genres is good, so far the footage shown is quite run-of-the-mill and uninspired, which is not what I expect from anything to do with the Aqua Teens. Only time will tell.
