Challenging THQ’s UFC title and standing toe-to-toe against EA Sports MMA, 505 Games and developer Kung Fu Factory have revealed its own title, Supremacy MMA.
In development for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Supremacy MMA will make its debut at E3 next week. Kung Fu Factory throws around things like “raises the bar” and “unprecedented level of fluid combat,” noting that the development team consists of folks who had worked on the Dreamcast UFC title, as well as games like The Warriors and UFC Undisputed 2009.
“Kung Fu Factory’s vision is to make an MMA game that is as authentic and realistic as possible that will introduce an entirely new type of experience to gamers,” says creative director Ricci Rukavina. “The team has an enormous amount of passion for the genre and has been relentlessly researching every aspect of the sport to deliver an MMA game unlike any other.”
“When gamers play Supremacy MMA,” he adds, “we think it will absolutely knock them out.”
I’ll be seeing the game next week in Los Angeles at E3; looks like I’ll have to wear mouth guard, because that sounds like a threat.
