E3 10: Activsion sends a list of musicians they’ve signed

Music people! They’re all about the games these days because that helps them make money. Activsion is all about the making money. Thus, it should come as no surprise that Activsion has sent over a list of musicians who are going to be featured in their major upcoming games (and possibly also going to show up at their E3 party).

The first two games are DJ Hero 2 and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. The press release says that the former will be featuring Usher’s chart-topping hit “OMG,” and work from DJs such as David Guetta, Deadmau5 and Z-Trip. Meanwhile in Warriors of Rock Soundgarden’s unreleased “Black Rain” has been confirmed along with Jane’s Addiction’s “Been Caught Stealing,” A Perfect Circle’s “The Outsider,” Black Sabbath’s “Children Of The Grave,” and Megadeth’s “Sudden Death.”

In the most interesting (for me at least) part of this list of bands and artists Activision has revealed that Pharrell Williams will be headlining the soundtrack for True Crime: Hong Kong. The soundtrack will also feature the fantastic jazz singer Rhea, who you might know from her work with N.E.R.D.

Finally, Eminem will have one of the songs off his upcoming album featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Maybe that relationship was born from this trailer?

Who do you think will be rolling up to Activsion’s party tonight? I’m guessing not Megadeth.
