As you already know, Halo Reach was announced by Microsoft today. Not much was stated, other than that it’s coming out Fall 2010.
However, if you read the book, then you already know what’s up. There were around 100 (can’t remember the exact number) SPARTAN IIs stationed on Planet Reach including the Master Chief. The Covenant manage to find Reach and spoiler alert, destroy the planet.
It’s not so cut and dry as that as the book details the SPARTAN and human forces taking on the Covenant on the surface of the planet since the Covenant were looking for Forerunner technology inside of Reach. I can go on, but honestly, you should go buy the first Halo book to find out what you can expect. It’s actually a really good book!
