E3 08: Resident Evil 5 interview gives details on the new co-op

Recommended Videos

GameTrailers got a chance to interview Capcom’s Chris Kramer where he gave some new details on Resident Evil 5’s co-op mode. If you don’t have a friend that can join you on the PS3 or Xbox 360, the AI will kick in and help you throughout the game. Basically, think Resident Evil 0 but without all the body swapping. Keeping that RE 0 mindset, both players will also be able to trade weapons and items with each other. Since players will be able to swap with each other, it sounds like your storage space will be a lot smaller than it was in Resident Evil 4.

Chris also confirms that players will be able to play together offline on one console as well as playing online. Check out the interview after the jump talking about the co-op feature. Our E3 team of writers will be meeting with Capcom later today so expect plenty of more information to come for Resident Evil 5.
