In addition to a new trailer, Koei Tecmo sent over some info for the upcoming Dynasty Warriors 9, the first true open world game in the series. Traversal options like climbing mountains and using grappling hooks are re-confirmed, as well as a new combo system that weaves in multiple mechanics like triggers, flows, and finishers. We also get the first real look at the universe in motion by way of this new trailer.
Dynasty Warriors 9 has an unknown launch date for PS4 (recent comments suggest 2018 at the earliest) and is confirmed for a western release. Other platforms could be unveiled in the future according to Koei Tecmo.
