The Examiner is reporting that Ubisoft Reflections, the studio behind Driver: San Francisco is working on a new racing game called The Crew. A source details that the project is a “realistic title, possibly being positioned against Forza and Gran Turismo.” The Crew is expected to hit the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and current generation consoles.

According to Eurogamer, The Crew may be a co-production with Ivory Tower, the France-based studio made up of a team that’s worked on games such as Need for Speed, V-Rally, and the recent Test Drive Unlimited.

All rumors for now, but I expect we’ll be hearing something on all this during Ubisoft’s E3 press conference. The real question is, do we need yet another simulation racer? Forza 5, Gran Turismo 6, DriveClub, Need for Speed: Rivals, and more are all coming down the road already.
