Don't forget your bonuses Arisen.

The Deluxe Edition of Dragon’s Dogma 2 comes with a slew of useful bonus items that will help every player on their journey, but they must claim them to take advantage of their benefits.

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Deluxe Edition is packed with a chunk of additional items to help all players out in their journey through its dangerous world. This includes better starting weapons and utilities that will make exploration much easier than it would be otherwise. However, players need to know how to claim these items if they’re going to use them as they travel.

To claim Deluxe Edition items and preorder bonuses in Dragon’s Dogma 2, players must first play through the opening sequence until they reach the first minor settlement. This location is called Borderwatch Outpost, and it’s impossible to miss because you’re forced to go there as part of the story.

This is where you’ll learn a few of the game’s core mechanics, including recruiting Pawns and resting at inns. In fact, resting at the inn, which is just a large tent, will grant you access to your bonus items. The first stay at the inn is free, and I recommend you do it early so you can get these advantageous items for the quests that follow.

After staying at the inn, you’ll get an in-game message saying your Deluxe Edition and preorder items have been sent to your storage. This is a void that’s shared between the game’s inns, so you’ll need to speak to the innkeeper to access it. You can withdraw all of your items right away, but you may only want to pull out those that will help you since a new weapon for every Vocation is on offer.

I immediately withdrew every item that wasn’t a weapon and then selected the sword and shield for my character. These weapons aren’t amazing, but they’re slightly better than what you start the game with and will make the following quests a little less challenging.

Be warned that if you take everything out, your character will likely become over-encumbered. There’s a lot of stuff to carry and not every character will cope with it. Mine is a bit of a powerhouse and just about managed to hold onto everything, but I still stored the weapons I wouldn’t be using to make life easier.
