Dragon’s Dogma 2 is finally almost here

The 15-minute showcase will feature gameplay, as well as information directly from director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi. Throughout 2023, Capcom has given players a few teases of the game, and during a hands-on event, Destructoid’s Timothy Monbleau got to spend some time with the Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo, and he “really vibed with what Dragon’s Dogma 2 put on the table. Whether it was great gameplay or a juicy looking steak.”

The sequel has been anticipated since the release of Dragon’s Dogma in 2012. Though Itsuno has discussed creating a sequel for years, there was no official announcement until June 2022. With the release date revealed, fans now know that their wait, which has lasted over a decade, is almost over.

There’s plenty to expect from Capcom in 2024. In addition to DD 2, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is set to release next year. We may also see more of the elusive Pragmata which has been delayed several times.
