Dragon Quest Tact headed west on iOS and Android

‘Tact’ is short for ‘Tactical’… You’re welcome

Dragon Quest devotees might be pleased to hear that Square Enix has confirmed an English localisation of mobile battler Dragon Quest Tact. Having previously launched in Japan this past summer, the strategic monster-scrapper is now headed west on iOS and Android devices.

Despite its moniker, Dragon Quest Tact has nothing to do with offering constructive criticism without committing a social faux-pas. In fact, it is a grid-based battle game which sees players gather up famous monsters and critters from across the fantasy RPG franchise, before sending them into battle, managing each of your minions’ strengths and weaknesses to ensure victory.

You’re all waiting for it, so let’s get to it: Dragon Quest Tact is a free-to-play title with in-game purchases, though Square Enix states you can build up a menagerie of freely-available monsters without spending a penny. If you’re interested, then pre-registration is available right now on Google Play. You can find out more about the game’s mechanics on the new English website.
