Bandai Namco has finally announced the dates for the Nintendo Switch open beta of anime fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ, and it looks like fans won’t be kept waiting much longer at all.

The beta will be made available in North America next week on August 9 at 21:00 PT and will run through until August 11 at 23:59 PT. 23 characters will be selectable from the DBFZ roster, and both Arena Match (Onlive Vs.) and Ring Match (Online lobbies) will be available to select.

For those of you who want to hone your newly-discovered Saiyan skills, Practice Mode will also be available. Players will also get the opportunity to try out the new “Extreme” (easier) control method, exclusive to the Switch release. The beta can be pre-loaded from August 3.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One. It launches on Nintendo Switch September 28.
