I’m not sure if any of you out there remember it, but around the launch of Dragon Age II, Bioware released a free to play Facebook game called Dragon Age Legends. The game was basically a mixture of city-building and strategy RPG combat, and had a decent amount of content to work through.
However, Legends unfortunately utilized the despicable “pay to play” model, which only allowed you a few battles per day before constantly pestering you to buy “energy” so that you could continue on your quest. After a week of playing this back in the day (solely for the Dragon Age 2 item unlocks), I threw in the towel, as I could basically only engage in one battle per day without paying for better items (otherwise known as a pay-wall).
Now that the game is reborn in a completely offline, actually free manner, I’m going to give it a shot and see how it holds up. Bioware has also stated that they’re looking into recovering your Facebook characters in the next few days, which is neat.
