It’s like Frogger, except kids recognize it
Hipster Whale’s endless mobile hit Crossy Road was previously only available from the Apple App Store and Amazon, but now Android users can play the game through Google Play, too.
I like Crossy Road, but not as much as some people. When I was flying home from Arizona last week, I had to sit next to this unsupervised kid who asked me several questions a minute about anything and everything for the majority of the flight. Eventually, he became deathly curious about which titles I had on my 3DS, so I obliged, and introduced him to Yoshi’s Island and a bunch of other old, new-to-him games. Then he had me look over his iPhone library. “Oh lord,” I thought.
Going through the list, I recognized only one: Crossy Road. What a strange world we inhabit.
