Dota 2 documentary Free to Play: The Movie released

Watch it on YouTube, Steam, or iTunes

Produced internally at Dota 2 maker Valve, Free to Play: The Movie is a full-length documentary that tracks three professional gamers — Dendi, hyhy, and Fear — on their distinct personal journeys to the million-dollar Dota 2 tournament The International.

It’s available for free as of today on distribution outlets like Steam, iTunes, and YouTube. While the film obviously focuses on Dota 2 as its central theme, like any good documentary I wouldn’t expect that existing knowledge of the subject matter is needed to enjoy it.

I’m hoping to find time this evening to, if nothing else, at least get started on the movie. For those of you who have already seen Free to Play, care to share your thoughts?
