One of the most anticipated games of 2019 will now have to be one of the most anticipated games of 2020. This morning on the Doom Twitter account, it was announced Doom Eternal would be delayed until March 20, 2020, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The Switch version of the game will launch sometime after that. The delay is necessary, according to the developers, to get the game up to their standards of speed and polish.

According to the statement, Invasion Mode will not be available at launch but will be a free updated added shortly after the game hits stores. Also, Doom 64 is now a preorder bonus on all platforms. It will release on March 20 as well for all platforms, including Nintendo Switch.
