Doodle Jump Kinect will launch in the summer for $5

Here’s your killer Kinect app

It appears as if the two year long wait (ha!) for Doodle Jump for the Kinect is over, as it is launching this summer on the Xbox Live Arcade for $5 (400 MSP). Evidently, Smoking Gun Interactive will handle this version, as “three new worlds” are added, among achievements, and new content/gesture controls.

I remember the height of the Doodle Jump craze, when it was used in a ton of sitcoms, and helped legitimize mobile gaming so many moons ago. It’s not the deepest experience ever, but it was fun for what it was — on a Kinect and a giant screen, I’m not so sure it’ll have the same success.
