Klei will release its sandbox survival game Don’t Starve: Giant Edition for PS Vita on Tuesday, September 2.

This port will come with the Reign of Giants DLC (more characters, biomes, seasons) included in its $14.99 price tag and better yet, the title supports Cross-Buy with PS4 — buy one version and get the other for free. Cross-system save files aren’t implemented, as the studio “had to rewrite a bunch of backend code to optimize [the PS Vita game].”

To me, Don’t Starve just feels like one of those games that’d be a good fit for PS Vita. I like the thought of chipping away at it — 10 minutes here, 15 there — and a handheld system lends itself well to that play style.
