Don’t panic: Dragon’s Crown is still coming

Things aren’t looking good at a glance for Vanillaware’s upcoming dungeon crawler Dragon’s Crown. Siliconera is reporting that many of their reader’s Amazon pre-orders have been cancelled, amongst other rumors that the game is outright cancelled. But, according to Vanillaware illustrator Shigatake, the game is still in development.

When asked point blank about the cancellation, Shigatake said, “I personally can’t say much, but I’ll just say, ‘Regarding Dragons Crown, although there are lots of rumors and conjecture, it’s still in development. Please wait patiently for an official update.”

Oh, I’ve been waiting! In fact, Dragon’s Crown is one of my most anticipated games of the entire year — I was planning on getting both the Vita and PS3 version for my wife and I. See that guy in the above image that kind of looks like that dude from Gargoyles? Yea, I call him.
