Put down that razorblade, take that noose from the ceiling, and for Heaven’s sake stop strangling your first born. Funcom’s Age of Conan is still heading to the Xbox 360, despite the company’s recent staff cuts. PHEW! PHEEEEEEW!

“The Xbox 360 game will also contain most, if not all of the content and improvements that have been made to the PC version of the game,” assures Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. “… “The work with improving and expanding Age of Conan continues with relentless force, and we look forward to introducing a number of great updates in the months ahead.”

Aas also confirmed that Funcom’s other MMO project, The Secret World, is still on track, as well as planned expansion into the so-called “casual” games market. That’s nice.

As someone who doesn’t really game on the PC, I’ve never been into MMOs so I was interested in Age of Conan on the 360. However, the game is said to essentially die after its roped you into the opening chapters, which smacks of a “take the money and leave” attitude. Still, Funcom seemed willing to try and fix that, so we’ll see what happens next.
