Don’t let Cuphead’s art overshadow its soundtrack

They’re both really really good

Cuphead is out next Friday, and I can hardly believe it’s almost here. I’ve been so obsessed with the exquisite art and animation that Kristofer Maddigan’s big-band soundtrack has gone under-noticed. Nothing like a behind-the-scenes look at the music to serve as a necessary kick in the pants.

I look forward to associating this upbeat track with pain and suffering come next week.

Also, for collectors: the full soundtrack will be out on vinyl through iam8bit later this year. It’s wild to me that vinyl releases for video games have become commonplace. Does the heart good.
