Donkey Kong inspired ride monkeys into Retro City Rampage

In the time since the first time I played Retro City Rampage I’ve co-hosted a show with newcomer Tara Long, created an animated talk show, talked to women about videogames, created Sup, Holmes?, and been the subject of many of Jim Sterling’s sexually charged fantasies on Podtoid. What have the developers of Retro City Rampage been doing in the same time frame?

MAKING DONKEY KONGS!

To be fair, that’s not all they’ve been doing. They’ve also been making Meat Boys, Marios, ‘Splosion MenProton PacksBiffmananDestructoids, and much more. So now that they’ve done all that, when is the game coming out? Retro City Rampage creator Brian Provinciano told us earlier this year that the game’s Donkey Kong parody (now known as the Android Primate Electric XT-2000 Roadster, or “A.P.E.”) would be one of the last things adding to the game. Now that it’s in, the game must finally be complete. I’m sure we’ll be getting an official release date any second now.

Remember, the game is coming to PSN (both PS3 and PS Vita), XBLA, WiiWare, and Steam. If you have a videogame playing machine, then this is a game you can buy.
