DJ Hero gets house, electronic mashup DLC this week

Amidst rumors of an upcoming DJ Hero 2, Activision is still pumping out the downloadable content for the original title. On April 29, three mashups will be available for download, packaged as “The Domination Mix Pack”:

• “Sandstorm” by Darude Mixed With “Higher State of Consciousness” by Josh Wink’
• “Wolfgang’s Fifth Symphony” beat juggle by Wolfgang Gartner
• “Red Mist VIP” beat juggle by Danny Byrd.

The entire package will cost you $7.99/640 MS Points on the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360; no, you can’t buy individual mixes. If you own a Wii, you can — they’re 300 points a track. Of course, buying all three means you’ll have to spend one more dollar than your PS3 and 360 buddies. You can’t win ’em all, apparently.

I have to admit that I haven’t purchased a single bit of DJ Hero DLC since the game released last year. In fact, I haven’t touched the game in months, despite having a great time with it for weeks after its release. Perhaps I should bust out the turntable and limber-up for the sequel?
