DJ Hero 2 DLC marries Pixies, The Prodigy

Activision has announced two new “mix packs” for DJ Hero 2 today, including one that finally joins the soothing vocals of Frank Black with the booming bass grooves of The Prodigy.

Available today, the “Hard Edge Mix Pack” features two mixes: Pixies – “Debaser” mixed with The Prodigy – “Invaders Must Die” and Beastie Boys – “Body Movin'” mixed with Lenny Kravitz “Rock and Roll Is Dead.” 

On December 14, the “Old Skool Mix Pack” will be released, featuring: Fat Boys – “Human Beat Box” mixed with Mantronix – “King of Beats”; Tag Team – “Whoomp! (There It Is)” mixed with 45 King – “The 900 Number”; and Beastie Boys – “Triple Trouble” mixed with Ton-Loc – “Funky Cold Medina.”

Finally, just in time for the new year, December 21 brings the “Linkin Park Mix Pack” featuring: “The Catalyst (Does It Offend You, Yeah? Remix)” (Remix by FSG); When They Come For Me” (Diplo Remix); and “Pts.of.Athrty”(Remix by FSG).

The “Hard Edge” pack will run you 480 MS Points/$5.99; the other packs will cost you 640 MS Points/$7.99. Wii owners will have to buy the songs individually at 300 Wii Points a piece.
