Did you finish Bunny Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

The event is over and our sanity has returned

I totally did not intend on finishing the Bunny Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

I went in completely blind, so imagine my surprise when I hit a tree and found that instead of extra wood, I was getting…eggs. Or instead of iron when cracking away at a rock, I was getting…eggs. Slowly but surely I acquired a hefty egg collection, and chipped at the DIY recipe database through washed-up bottles and event balloons. On the last day I came to the realization: I had a giant collection of eggs and all of the recipes. “Let’s do this,” I said to Zipper’s (the mascot of the event) emotion-less soul-sucking face.

A few hours later and I had crafted everything Bunny Day had to offer. In that moment, as I sent pretty much every tacky reward over to my wife’s game, I felt like I had accomplished something. But at what cost? A lot of potential wood, iron, fish and any number of other useful resources that would have helped me in the late-game stages.

But I’m sure there was someone out there who loved wearing their festive egg hats and dug the event. There must be dozens of you! Let us know if you actually finished it or just stared at your game icon with a grimacing face until it went away.
