Diablo 4 Season 3 start date is January 23

Diablo 4 login screen confirms Season 3 will begin on January 23

We still don't know much about the new season.

Earlier today the Diablo 4 login screen subtly changed to include a new banner stating “Season 3 – Next Season Begins January 23, 2024.” While that release date certainly fits with the quarterly seasons Blizzard wants to stick to with Diablo 4 , we’ve still yet to get many details for a season that’s just around the corner.

What we know about Diablo 4 Season 3

A few days ago Diablo Community Developer Director Adam Fletcher indicated on Twitter that a new details on Season 3 will be shared in an upcoming Campfire Chat. Usually by now we at least know the overall theme and title of the season, such as Season of the Malignant or Season of Blood. But for now, all we know are a few new features coming to Season 3.

Since the release of Diablo 4, Season 3 has been the goal for when Leaderboards would be added to the ARPG. At BlizzCon 2023 a couple of months ago, Blizzard confirmed they would still be coming in Season 3. Other features teased at BlizzCon included a weekly challenge dungeon called The Gauntlet and something called the Hall of Ancients.

However, we’ve got absolutely no new information regarding the theme of Season 3 or its new mechanics, which is often what a new season is all about. Leaderboards will be great but more importantly, the season has to introduce some new features and mechanics that will convince me to go through the time-consuming process of leveling a character for the fourth time. With the new season coming in less than two weeks, surely we can expect more details soon.

Diablo 4 Season 3 starts on January 23.
