Oregon indie outfit has a suitable home

Publisher Devolver Digital has announced that it has acquired indie developer Doinksoft, the Orgeon-based studio behind fun, silly, and popular releases such as Gato Roboto, Demon Throttle, and the studio’s current project, Gunbrella.

First announced in the summer of last year, Gunbrella is an apocalyptic noir adventure that sees a dangerous drifter crossing the badlands on a do-or-die odyssey of mystery and vengeance. Our anti-hero will seek such justice armed with little more than a mean attitude and an incredibly versatile rifle, which also doubles as a shield, a zipline, a floatation device and, of course, an umbrella.

Gunbrella is currently in development for PC and Nintendo Switch, and is tentatively scheduled to launch later in 2023.
