Fire up those wailing guitars

After its stylish, arrogant takeover of E3 earlier this year, Capcom’s upcoming sequel Devil May Cry 5 is preparing to wow attendees at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany in just a few weeks.

In fact, Director Hideaki Itsuno put out a tweet yesterday confirming that the team had finished work on a playable demo of the game, which the luck folk at the show will be able to get their mitts on. The tweet features a shot of DmC 5’s colourful title screen, teasingly taunting us to hit start. We knew it was coming, but now we know that the demo is completed and ready to go.

Devil May Cry 5, which made its debut announcement in June, has fast become one of next year’s most hotly-anticipated titles. Capcom are on a roll as of late, both creatively and financially, so odds are good that something special will be delivered when Dante and co return to our screens.

Devil May Cry 5 launches on PS4 and Xbox One in 2019.
