Outlast II developer Red Barrels Games has dropped teasers as to what we can expect from the upcoming horror sequel.

Replying to fans on Twitter, the developer hinted that the new game will take place “somewhat after” the events at Mount Massive, and the backdrop will not be an Asylum this time around.

It also said that “yes, you will need to hide” when asked if the sequel’s gameplay was likely to follow the original premise of hide ‘n’ seek.

When asked if we could expect another free demo, the developer said it wasn’t sure, but it may be possible if they “attend a major gaming expo.”

The game is expected to be ready in Q3 2016. Shudder.

Not a lot to go on, I know, but as a rabid fan of the original, I’ll take anything I can right now!
