Deus Ex: Revision gives the classic a major overhaul

I wanted orange! It gave me lemon-lime!

Deus Ex came out 15 years ago. 15 long, unrelenting years ago. While it’s often considered to be one of the greatest games ever made, other people argue that some elements of the game felt outdated back when it came out. Well, now you have a reason to go back to the original game with the release of Deus Ex: Revision.

Revision is a mod developed by Caustic Creative that has been given Square Enix’s blessing and released for free on Steam. Billed as a “community-made overhaul,” the mod features new environment and gameplay tweaks, as well as a whole array of graphics and sound mods to make the game look a bit less… well… old.

You can watch the trailer for Revision up at the top, or you can try it out for yourself on Steam. You’ll need a Steam copy of Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition installed on Steam for it to work, but if you don’t have that then it is currently 80% off as part of Steam’s Stealth sale.
