When word got out about Square Enix trademarking Deus Ex: Human Defiance, some of us got a bit carried away. The name, in our defense, did seem like a rather fitting title for a potential follow-up to 2011’s Human Revolution. Looking over records for a domain registration (via superannuation), it appears that this is no game — it’s the darned movie adaptation!
The URL in question, DeusExHumanDefianceFilm.com, is registered to CBS Films. While I absolutely suspect we’ll get another Deus Ex game before too long, this is disappointing news.
“I ACTUALLY asked for this,” wrote Destructoid commenter Shadowstew. Poor guy.
