Destructoid’s greatness knows no bounds, especially if UK readers do as I did and picked up a copy of this month’s Games(tm) magazine today. Purchasing it on a whim after getting my hair lovingly cut in an Eltham backalley, my monocle (pictured) almost popped out when I saw not only a feature on videogame blogs, but a glowing mention of our humble site as one of the five ‘Highlights of the blogging world’. While Games(tm) has repeatedly ignored my proposal to do freelance work for the magazine in the past, it seems we’re at least good enough to have our praises sung by people who’s work I should probably be doing.  Did I say that out loud? Ignore my bitter ramblings and check out what Games(tm) has to say about us:

The hardcore gamer’s blog of choice, Destructoid’s contributors put the focus on in-joke humour and often hilariously captioned images. You can taste the vitriol when they’re angry and bask in the joy when they’re not – Destructoid happily wears its heart on its sleeve. The humour may not be to everyone’s taste, certainly casual observers may feel alienated by its (highly ironic) use of ‘txtspk’, but those enraptured by the game industry and its internet presence will find solace in Destructoid’s anarchic universe.

If you’re in the UK, be sure to check it out, as it also has a few words from a familiar face, namely one William Haley. Also, revel in the irony of a magazine talking about the very people who are putting its kind out of business. Fnar fnar.
