Destiny 2’s Solstice of Heroes event is surprisingly great with its weapons this year. The bow, Fortunate Star, can roll with perks that make it uniquely suited for Void players as one example. Given that other legendary bows are good for both Solar and Arc, they help complete the set.
One other weapon can make for a great budget version of the solar rocket launcher Apex Predator. Here’s the god roll for the Crowning Duologue rocket launcher in Destiny 2.
The best perks and attachments for the Crowning Duologue in Destiny 2

The Crowning Duologue is a Strand rocket launcher (on its own, a rare sight) part of the Precision Frame archetype. This causes your rockets to lock on to whatever target you aim at and track them but at the cost of some damage. Naturally, this makes it good for boss DPS. If you want to get the most out of your DPS rotation, you’ll want the following setup:
- Launcher Barrel: Countermass
- Magazine: Alloy Casing
- Perk 1: Reconstruction
- Perk 2: Bait and Switch
Countermass provides us with better recoil, stability, and handling speed, making it much easier to quickly pull out and fire off before stowing again. Alloy Casing might seem like a strange choice at first since it provides reload speed on a weapon that automatically reloads, but that reload speed affects the speed of Reconstruction. As for Reconstruction, reloading automatically with two rockets is too hard to pass up. Finally we have Bait and Switch, which plays into the idea that you use Crowning Duologue as part of a DPS rotation, rather than as pure DPS.
How to get the Crowning Duologue
The Crowning Duologue is available as part of the Solstice of Heroes event. More specifically, you can farm the rocket launcher through the Bonfire Bash activity as a final reward. Alongside Bonfire Bash, completing Solstice bounties and getting Solstice Packages can get you rolls of the Crowning Duologue.
