Design contest crowdsources the PlayStation 4 logo

This segment of the internet has been obsessing over anything and everything to do with the Sony’s new game console, and hey — I don’t blame them! It’s been a long time coming, after all. Graphic design marketplace 99designs has opened up a contest lasting through Sunday which tasks designers with creating a mock PlayStation 4 logo, complete with a respectable cash prize for the winning entry. There are already more than 2,000 submissions!

Truth be told, I wouldn’t expect Sony to come up with anything too out of the ordinary with its branding for the new console. We’ll likely find out soon enough. This competition serves as a good little what-if exercise, and if you happen to be design-minded, go give it a shot.
