Calling all music nerds! New today for DSiWare is a title called Rhythm Core Alpha. It’s musical software for your DSi, packed full of tools that let you sequence and perform.  It’s kind of geared toward performance with the stylus and touchscreen functionality, and you can even edit one block of loops while another is playing.

Actually, it’s about to get really music-nerdy up in here. Creator T.B. Trzepacz explains: “Rhythm Core Alpha detects the key of the music automatically, so you can change the key of the music you sequenced with the +Control Pad or face buttons, like fingering a guitar, while soloing with the stylus using your other hand. Or you can sequence all of the chord changes in the pattern mode and concentrate more on your playing.”

For those of you that are still with me, you’ll find an extensive list of features and capabilities for Rhythm Core Alpha after the jump. You’ll see that this little app is really robust. You should be able to get pretty creative with this.

I’ll be honest: the above screenshot really excites me. Rhythm Core Alpha is out today for 500 DSiWare points.
