If you’ve seen the trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming film, Pacific Rim, you might notice a little someone popping in to lend a guest voice. Yep, Portal‘s classic crazed computer GlaDOS is making a cameo appearance — at least, a voice based on GlaDOS will be.

After the trailer first debuted, many gaming fans were keen to note the homage, and were concerned that Valve may have a potential lawsuit on their hands. Well, that’s not going to happen, according to the Toronto Sun, as Del Toro obtained full permission from Valve to use the voice.

Also in the same article, Del Toro notes that his cancelled game inSANE is coming closer to a release. When asked about potential suitors, Del Toro states, “We are in talks with a very, very big company. I can’t say who, but it’s one of the big ones. They really responded to the game, they responded to what we were trying.”
