Better late than never. Deep Silver announced plans this afternoon to publish the once-PC-exclusive RPG Risen on the Xbox 360 in North America. Original developer Piranha Bytes is doing the port and aims to have it out on store shelves at some this February.

Alongside the official release, we were given some nifty new screens of the Xbox 360 version in action. As you’ll notice, Risen is an RPG-ass RPG — complete with a mystery island, woman in need, and a peasant hero who learns to master crazy talens.

I haven’t much experience with this game because of the PC requirements, but I’ve heard some good things. And coming off my Dragon Age: Origins high, I’m totally willing to give another supposedly deep fantasy RPG a shot on my Xbox 360. Let’s see how it goes, eh?
